Empowering Girls in STEM
Are you a college student passionate about promoting gender equity in STEM? Make this summer count as you develop leadership and instructional skills while making a life-long impact on children and youth. The Girls Rock Math Teaching Fellowship provides hands-on teaching experience in an engaging, fun learning environment where you will be mentored by educators passionate about empowering girls in STEM. You will be a teacher, a mentor and a role model. You will be trained and placed as a teacher in one of our many urban summer camps throughout the Seattle area. After training you will spend between 4 to 6 weeks teaching STEAM activities to girls in first through sixth grade as part of the Girls Rock Math summer camp experience.
Whether you see yourself as a future teacher or if you’re simply passionate about supporting women and girls in STEM, girls in our community depend on mentors like you to lift them up through Girls Rock Math. And when we lift them up together, we lift up our entire community. If you are someone who sees yourself making a real difference, Girls Rock Math is unlike any other STEM program you’ve ever experienced.
